Deborah started her career twenty years ago as
an Associate Producer and News Researcher for WJKW-TV, the CBS
affiliate in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. “Tenemos Vida”
— a five part series on Hispanic Culture in Cleveland, earned
her the Women in Communications Clarion Award, the first of many
in her career.
She quickly moved on to local media markets in
Texas. Along the way she wrote and produced such notable
programs as; the “Six Senior Survey” — a two-part series
for Channel 6 (KRIS TV) examining elementary, secondary, and
higher education in Corpus Christi, Texas; and, “Future of a
Region”, an 18-hour live cable broadcast profiling the
economic development, educational system, and metro
infra-structure of South and West Texas. As Account Manager at
several San Antonio radio stations, Deborah routinely built
unconventional, strategic alliances with local businesses,
institutions, and organizations that resulted in sponsorships
and ad campaigns that broke new ground, and generated
incremental business for her employers.
Ms. Schwartz Griffin moved to Atlanta in 1989,
and immediately demonstrated her prowess in developing new
business at WSB Television, the ABC affiliate. During her
twelve-year career with the #1 station in the Region, she forged
new, productive relationships with diverse commercial,
educational, and community organizations that yielded both
profits and goodwill benefits for WSB. Deborah’s efforts
produced revenues of over $4.6 million combined, utilizing “relationship
& cooperative” marketing strategies with the Greater
Atlanta Homebuilder’s Association and selected homebuilders
& developers; showcasing prominent Georgia educational
institutions through sponsoring strategic business-to-business
marketing campaigns WSB-TV pioneered; and created, developed and
executed cooperative marketing campaigns with the leading
western wear retailer in Georgia and their boot and western wear
manufacturers.
Deborah is an outstanding presenter and speaker
who shares her business acumen and strategies with those who
also have a passion for success. She most recently presented at
